Solar activity
Low
In the past 24 hours, solar activity was at low levels, without any M-class flares or larger observed. Two new active regions were numbered as 14159 (S08W10) and 14160 (S08E47). There are currently 10 active regions on the visible disk. The Region 14153 is small in size, but with a relatively complex βγ magnetic configuration.
Geomagnetic field
Quiet
In the past 24 hours, the geomagnetic field was at active levels for 3 hours. Quiet to unsettled conditions were reported throughout the remainder of the summary period. The solar wind speed decreased from 520 km/s to 480 km/s. Bt fluctuated increased from 7 nT to 11 nT, and Bz fluctuated between -10 nT and 10 nT. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux at geosynchronous orbit was at the background levels. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit remained at high levels.
Ionosphere
Quiet
In the past 24 hours, the ionosphere was at quiet levels in the most parts of China.
